A/W 2010 Media release
Online, May 18, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Warm up this Winter with Green Eyed Monster
Independent Melbourne fashion label Green Eyed Monster has launched its new range of eco-friendly women's wear for Autumn/Winter 2010. In keeping with it's simple, stylish and sustainable design ethos, Green Eyed Monster's key pieces for winter include long sleeve printed tops and jersey dresses in organic cotton as well as some super cute (and super comfy!) button up leggings in an organic cotton and elastane mix for stretch and durability.
The range comes in darker hues of charcoal, chocolate and black as well as highlight colours of jade and red combined with Green Eyed Monster's signature bird prints. The long sleeve tops make great basic pieces that can be worn every day while Green Eyed Monster's boat neck dresses teamed with leggings and flats, or boots and jackets, make a statement depending on the occasion (or the weather). Green Eyed Monster's button up leggings are perfect for working and travelling in comfort while still looking stylish, relaxing at home or wearing to and from that gym/yoga/pilates class.
Retailing from $69 - $119, the Green Eyed Monster range is available nationally at www.greeneyedmonster.com.au and from a number of retailers in metropolitan Melbourne.
Now in it's second year, Green Eyed Monster is an ethical fashion label with an urban edge aimed squarely at women who care about the environment as much as what they wear. Designer Anne Ryan's simple, silhouette designs are printed on super soft 100% certified organic cotton fabrics using eco-friendly dyes. The range is also proudly made here in Australia using predominantly Australian made certified organic cotton, accredited Oeko Tex 100 Eco dyes for colour fastness and printed using water based inks.
Anne researched extensively to find fabrics, printers and manufacturers who share her commitment to reducing the impact of fashion production on the environment. So great is her commitment that Green Eyed Monster donates $5.00 to Friends of the Earth for every online sale.
"The world of fashion isn't noted for its care for the environment. By supporting fair trade and purchasing sustainable fashion, you're doing your bit to save the earth while looking good in the process. I feel great making my small contribution as part of our every day business by considering the environment, our customers' health and the working conditions of people in the fashion industry."
