'A Time in the Sun: Ghosts of the Gridiron' by Ralph Curtis Tells a Story of Great Sportsmanship During a Time of Hardship in the American South

New release from Ralph Curtis, "A Time in the Sun," follows two towns tied together through a history of football, spanning decades.

“A Time in the Sun” follows the two towns of Farmtown and Summerville. The two towns were host to two undefeated football teams, the Farmtown Owls and the Summerville Tigers. The Owls were crowned the official state champions, due to their feat of being accomplished with only 12 players, but they eventually get the title taken away.

Fast-forward 30 years later, “A Time in the Sun” follows the relatives of the “Farmtown Twelve.” Digging through old records, they learn of the loss of the team’s title and propose a way for the team to finally get their time in the sun in a rematch with the modern-day Summerville players.

Readers looking to see how this game finally ends can purchase “A Time in the Sun: Ghosts of the Gridiron” at bookstores everywhere or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
