5th Annual Cleveland India Festival USA 2014 on Saturday September 13 from 11am to 8pm

The 5th annual North-East Ohio India Festival USA "Celebrating Diversity" will be held at Independence Middle School, Independence, Ohio, on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 11am to 8pm. Admission to exhibition, award ceremony and parking is FREE.

The 5th annual North-East Ohio India Festival USA “Celebrating Diversity” will be held at Independence Middle School, Independence, Ohio, on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 11am to 8pm. India Festival USA encourages visitors to celebrate diversity and togetherness by participating in a thematic display of the rich culture and diversity of two of the greatest nations on earth - India and USA. Admission to exhibition and evening ceremony, and parking is FREE.

The festival will recognize Ms. Peggy Zone Fisher, President and CEO of Diversity Center of North-east Ohio. An exhibition area will provide opportunities to shop for South Asian handicrafts, clothing, jewelery, music and gift items.  Teaching Artists from The Cleveland Museum of Art will lead a drop-in art making workshop. Other attractions include "Taste of India" Food Fest, “You’ve Got Talent” competition (with over 100 contestants and where the audience can vote for the winners), Robotics demonstration, Fashion Shows, Henna, Face-painting and other children's activities.

The evening program will feature an award ceremony and will be attended by State and local elected officials, and other community leaders. Harry Boomer, News Anchor at Channel 19 will be the MC of the Evening Award Ceremony. Theme partner for this year is Diversity Center of North-east Ohio. The event website is www.indiafestusa.com.
