4th 21Gun Salute Car Rally: Salute the Vintage
Online, January 29, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Start this February in regal style - living royal and driving vintage - at the 21Gun Salute International Rally on the 1st and 2nd of February. Kicking off at the ancient Red Fort, the rally will meander through the lanes of Delhi till it reaches Leisure Valley at Gurgaon.
Bear witness to 72 Premium cars, of which between five and 10 international cars would be participating in an Indian vintage rally for the first time - a milestone in our nation's vintage automotive events. While 30 cars from all over the country and 20 vintage bikes will blend heritage with brilliance, more than 30 Maharajas and numerous Fortune 500 CEOs will help add that extra touch of class and chic to great music and a grand spread on offer at the event.
A brainchild of vintage car connoisseur Mr Madan Mohan, owner of the Deneb and Pollux company, the car rally is already in its fourth year. It is part of Mr Mohan's mission to raise awareness about vintage cars, specifically to bring the idea home to the youth. Through the rally, he aims to get youngsters acquainted with the rich heritage of cars in our country and instill in them the concept that such cars should be perceived as signs, not only of rare technical excellence and beauty, but also as symbols of pride and legacy.
To this end, the rally is getting grander each year. Organized in association with the Heritage Motoring Club of India of which Mr Mohan is a governing body member, the vision of the auto show is to create an opportunity for car aficionados to exhibit their auto collections and provide a platform for other people to bear witness to the glamour and sensation of luxury cars with a royal tag from eras bygone.
So get behind that wheel as the flag waives the beauties off!
