2014 Black College All Star Classic Basketball Game Hits a Slam Dunk in Atlanta

Online, March 5, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The World Basketball Association [WBA],has announced the setting for the 2014 Black College All Star Classic basketball game. This year will bring a resurgence of excitement with the game being held in the metro- Atlanta area. The double-header game will feature a preceding game played by the Metro Atlanta High School All Stars and both will be held at the historic Tri Cities High School, a school integrated into the pulse of the city.

The BCAS Classic has been long regarded as a premiere showcase for predominantly African American collegiate players from historically Black colleges with aspirations to play professionally. For most of the hopefuls, the BCAS Classic is one of the few opportunities to showcase their skills in front of invited scouts and agents from the WBA, NBA, NBDL and overseas leagues as well. Only a fraction of African American collegiate players are recruited from historically Black educational institutions. The WBA has made it their mission to even the playing field for deserving athletes. The league has been instrumental in the advancement of NBA standouts such as Josh Powell and Jamario Moon.

This year's game will be held on May 3, 2014 at Tri Cities High School located at 2575 Harris St. East Point, GA at 6PM. The game has historically garnered the support of local communities, businesses and notable celebrities. The high-energy Line up will include a drum line performance, a national recording artist performance and scholarships awarded by the WBA will be presented to the recipients at halftime.
