2010 HSRN Pre-Season Polls Have S.C. State and Tuskegee On Top

This is the pre-season poll and the regular season polls will start after the regular season first week of action.

Hartly, DE) - Defending SWAC and SIAC Champions will take the number one position into the 2010 football season. The Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN.com) pre-season polls have S.C. State number one in the Div. I (FCS) Top-10 and Div. II has Tuskegee number one. The Top-10 polls will be selected each week during the 2010 season by the HSRN staff and writers, along with selected media representatives, ranking Historical Black College Football Championship Sub-Division (FCS) Division I and NCAA Division II teams.


In Division I, South Carolina State beat out Prairie View by seven points 184-177. The Bulldogs got 13 first place votes and the Panthers six (6). Florida A&M is third with 141 points and rounding out the top five is Grambling at number four with 123 points and Norfolk State at number five with 104 points.

Division II has Tuskegee on top with 189 points and 18 first place votes and Shaw is number two with 155 points and one (1) first place vote. At number three is Defending CIAA Champion Fayetteville State with 139 points and rounding out the top five is Albany State at number four with 119 points and Ft. Valley State at number five with 87 points.
