15th National Conference of Practicing Company Secretaries on the Theme "The Facilitator for Corporate Growth", Inaugurated at Mumbai Today

CS R Sridharan, President of the ICSI, in his Presidential Address expressed that, when we talk about getting better, we essentially talk about opportunities and attendant challenges being unfold in the present and the capacity to look beyond. Speaking about The Companies Act, 2013, he said that the Companies Act, 2013, opened doors for company secretaries in number of areas such as insolvency, winding up, valuation, corporate restructuring etc., in addition to the vibrant areas such as secretarial audit and other related attestation services, opportunities for company secretaries have widened in such a way that one would not have imagined the profile of company secretaries, probably even a couple of decades ago.
CS Vikas Y Khare, Vice President of the ICSI, introduced the theme of the Conference and while introducing the Theme of the 15th NATIONAL CONFERENCE of PRACTISING COMPANY SECRETARIES- 'PCS - The facilitator for Corporate Growth, he informed that the two day Conference will be deliberating on the aspects such as :

CS Anil Murarka, Past President and Council Member, The ICSI and Chairman PCS Committee in his Welcome Address, said that, Company Secretaries as governance professionals have proven their knowledge and skills at various levels and a Company secretary is recognised in the corporate hierarchy as a crucial key link between management and the stakeholders.
