Washington, DC, February 1, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Pro-Pave, Inc. (http://www.propaveinc.com/) donated its time and services to renovate and repave the parking lot for Transitional Housing BARN, Inc., a women’s transitional housing facility in Prince William County, as part of the Heavy Construction Contractors Association’s annual philanthropic efforts.
From the other side of the road, onlookers saw the women’s shelter’s parking lot was in terrible condition and in need of repair. Gravel swept over the parking spaces and potholes marred the pavement surface, making it difficult for employees and volunteers to safely maneuver their vehicles.
Pro-Pave, Inc. and other contributing firms saw the shelter’s need and made the necessary repairs to the driveway and parking lot, free of charge. The estimated value of the donated materials, labor, and equipment is approximately $100,000.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new parking lot was held on January 7, 2016. NBC’s Washington DC news station, Channel 4, provided coverage of the ribbon cutting. The link to the story is here:
