National Radio Show Redefines its Mission to Help 1 Million Parents Work from Home

OurMilkMoney.com announces the re-launch of its live national online radio show and podcast, This Little Parent Stayed Home, which will continue on Toginet.com in its original time slot: Fridays at 6:00pm EST, starting on October 1, 2010.

On the premiere of the show last February, Ally Loprete, Founder and CEO of OurMilkMoney.com and host of the show, had declared she would "Bring 1 million parents home" but the mission has since been redefined to "Helping 1 million parents work from home."

There had been a lot of unnecessary controversy about what our mission was about, and Loprete saw the show's temporary hiatus as the perfect opportunity to fine tune its purpose. "All of a sudden it became a feminism issue, and that was certainly not what was intended," says Loprete, "With so much to accomplish, its important that we don't get distracted by trivial misconceptions. I am an advocate for parents and my commitment is to support them in their endeavors, not tell them what their endeavors should be."

The mission, which had been stated on OurMilkMoney.com's as well as on This Little Parent's show page on Toginet, clearly states that the show caters to both moms and dads who are looking to replace their corporate lifestyle with a supplemental income from out of their homes. It's purpose is two-fold: To support the parents who are listed in the OurMilkMoney.com parent only business directory, by promoting their products and services on the air each week and to guide those who are looking for an alternative to expensive daycares and unemployment funding.

The average American family has been unable to survive on less than 2 incomes for more than 2 decades. Child care expenses account for 14 percent of a family's average budget and are often the second-highest monthly household expense behind mortgage or rent payments. For this reason, This Little Parent Stayed Home was created to encourage a new society where stay-at-home parents are able to supplement the household budget in a variety of ways. Starting a home based business is just one of the many options that Loprete addresses on the show. Additional show topics include proposing a telecommute option to your current employer, offering services to the community as barter, or how to choose the right pre-packaged business.

With the American economy in the middle of its 19th consecutive quarter in recession, many families are torn between providing for their children and caring for their children. Recent research shows nearly half of all parents are concerned the economy will force them to make changes that negatively impact the quality of their current care giving arrangements. As families look for new child care solutions, they face tough choices all the while weighing the costs of working versus coming home.

OurMilkMoney.com's This Little Parent Stayed Home helps families to realize the potential for earning a supplemental income from home by making realistic lifestyle changes, and taking a much needed leap of faith into taking control of their situations.
