Louisville Elearning Developer Announces Launch Of Surgery Squad

Online, November 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Eric Bort, Owner of Clearly Trained eLearning and Flash Development, announced today the official launch of Surgery Squad (www.SurgerySquad.com). Surgery Squad provides free virtual surgeries for some of the most common procedures in the U.S. Site visitors become the surgeon as they perform the procedures using virtual tools. The first phase includes 25 surgeries, with the first four virtual surgeries live to the public - Virtual Rhinoplasty (nose job), Virtual RNY Gastric-Bypass, Virtual Lasik Eye Surgery, and the latest to launch, Virtual Tonsillectomy.

The idea to create Surgery Squad came to Bort after receiving letters from users of a previous interactive surgery project with his company, Clearly Trained eLearning and Flash Development. "Our eLearning company had a project to create three, very detailed, virtual surgeries. When those launched, we started getting letters from people thanking us for creating something that helped them wrap their head around some scary procedures they were about to go through. We even started getting letters from doctors who were using those virtual surgeries as references for their patients. It was then I realized that we were on to something. It took a few years to figure out how to streamline the production process, but I now have the right team in place, 25 surgery scripts written, and we're getting one new surgery produced every three weeks.

Bort said he knew the site would start to generate a decent amount of traffic, but he had no idea it would jump so fast, especially before any announcements were made public.
