Green foundation pour in San Bruno

Green Logic Construction - a San Francisco based green and environmentally responsible company has adopted new techniques of better, more ecologically responsible and cost effective concrete pouring along with using clean air machines

Today we are working on a concrete foundation pour for our client's new two story residential building in San Bruno, CA. After careful consideration being total environmentalists as we are we have decided to go with a high-fly ash content concrete to make this gray concrete pour - green.
Fly ash is a side effect of the process that produces half of the electricity in United States today - coal burning. We are substituting around 50% of the cement in our concrete mix by fly ash and using less water to mix the concrete as a result of ingredient replacement, in the end we are benefitting the environment by keeping the fly ash away from the waste system and we save energy required to manufacture Portland cement.

To make things even more greener we are using a mini excavator (JCB 8016) that has a small 1.1 liter turbo diesel engine that we have converted to a grease burning machine.
To top this off (and we are only on the foundation part of the project now) today we are busy installing SIP panels throughout front of the house, with SIP costs about the same as building with wood frame construction but your factor in labor savings resulting from shorter construction times and less waste produced make SIP construction the greenest option on the market today.
