"Fish On! World Class Captain Returns To Fishing Costa Rica's Pacific Ocean With New Kayak Operation

Drake Bay, Costa Rica, because of demand, tournament winning Captain Jeremy Librett specializing in fly and light tackle big game fishing, will come retirement to pioneer kayak fishing of Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula Peninsula beginning December 2010

On The Fly Inshore & Offshore Costa Rica is located on the country's northern Osa Peninsula just south of Drake Bay. Target species include inshore varieties such as Roosterfish, Jacks, Mackerel and Snappers. Unique to this operation will be the ability to target offshore species like Sailfish, Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Yellowfin and Big Eye Tuna.

Accommodations are available for different budgets with high end, mid level and camping. All inclusive packages as well as single day trips are offered. The operation is located where National Geographic calls the "most biologically intense place on Earth" and proximity to Corcovado National Park creates the option for combining eco-travel including rainforest hiking, photography and multiple day overnight kayak trips with camping on remote beaches and in the national park.

"I am very excited to get back out there, be challenged and put customers on fish. This location is the best fishing grounds in the country and arguably the world for big game kayak fishing. It was not a hard decision at all to come out of retirement to pursue this. I had been looking for the right opportunity to hunt again", said Captain Librett "I am excited to put my years of experience to use again and give anglers the best chance to make dreams come true".

On The Fly will feature fully outfitted Hobie Mirage Outback Kayaks and a Hobie tandem Mirage Outfitter kayak. These crafts will have live-wells and state of the art safety equipment. The operation also has a 19' and 26' Boston Whaler for support boats and scout crafts. Blair Wiggins Signature rods by Wright McGill will be featured for conventional pursuits with Scott Rods and Ross Reels for fly fishing. Sticks will be strung with Cortland Lines.

"This type of operation, focusing on big game from kayaks for the recreational angler was not possible very long ago in my view. What brands like Hobie and Eagle Claw have done with their products makes it possible now," states Captain Librett "Having the diesel boat sleeping at the dock is a real bonus though. I like the fact customers can combo kayak days with the traditional charter boat if they like.
