Thimphu, 21st May, 2014 - Bhutan Swallowtail Travels has signed a one year contract with Bhutan Reality Pictures, Thimphu, to develop a 'field guide to Thimphu biodiversity' including mapping of old and forgotten nature trails, short video clips of birds, butterflies, flowers, plants and ancient monasteries and temples.
Thimphu may be the capital city with its numerous buildings, vehicles and people, but the surrounding forests in its unexplored, undisturbed and pristine form makes Thimphu the perfect ecotourism destination in Bhutan with the perfect blend of the modern, ancient culture and rich biodiversity.
With the usual touristy things to do and places to visit, tour operators in Bhutan were providing the same mundane itinerary to visiting guests.
