Dorothy And Theodore Is Named Winners Of The LBA Regional Awards

Online baby boutique Dorothy and Theodore has been named among the regional winners of the Local Business Accelerators competition, which is fronted by Deborah Meaden.

The Local Business Accelerators (LBA) scheme is run by Deborah Meaden, well-known for her appearances in the popular television show Dragon's Den. The initiative is backed by David Cameron and the private sector's Business In You campaign. The competition is between young businesses which have been running for anything from one to five years, and is headed up by local newspapers. Regional winners will be entered into the final national competition, in which a business can win a share of fifteen million pounds worth of advertising and a year's mentoring from Deborah Meaden herself.

The LBA scheme is a great way for smaller companies to benefit from some serious local press, with the potential to win an advertising campaign which could change the business forever, making people around the country aware of them instead of simply their local shoppers. Dorothy and Theodore is based online and already reaches customers nationwide, but the advertising assistance could well help them become a lot bigger in their market.

Dorothy and Theodore is excited about being named as one of the regional finalists of LBA. A Customer Service Representative for the company added, "Dorothy and Theodore is still a new company with a growing range of sellers offering their products online. We hope to win the national competition as any business would, as it would be a great boost to the company and help us reach even more customers."

LBA national winners will be announced later this year, with many businesses striving to win the prize which could well help them become the national company they've wanted to become since starting up.

Dorothy and Theodore is an online baby boutique based in the UK. They offer a wide range of goods online from a growing selection of sellers of handmade products, all of which are environmentally friendly and designed for babies, parents and homes.
