DiMora Motorcar Vicci 6.2 Convertible to Debut at Taiwan Art Fair
Two acclaimed artists Lee Sun-Don and Sir Alfred J. DiMora created a masterpiece on what could be the most expensive production automobile in the world.
April 11, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Great artists look for innovative media to bring their creativity to life. Zen Master Lee Sun-Don has teamed with automotive designer Sir Alfred J. DiMora to produce a unique expression of their creative ideas. The first DiMora Motorcar Vicci 6.2 Emperor Convertible serves as the canvas for Master Lee's art and will be introduced at Art Revolution Taipei, April 16-20, 2014
This fusion of 21st century technology with classic 1930's elegance and flair defines a new niche in the American and global automobile markets. The sporty Vicci 6.2 Emperor Convertible comes with a choice of General Motors 6.2 liter V8 engines, either the 430-hp LS3 or the supercharged 556-hp LS-A engine that comes with independent suspension.
When asked why he chose to put his art on this particular automobile, Master Lee replied, "Classic and innovative, the DiMora Vicci 6.2 is by itself a work of art. What is more, this classic supercar Vicci, with its connotations of victor and conqueror, accords perfectly with the spirit of kingship and supremacy of my painting series, the Great Treasure."
Sir Alfred J. DiMora agreed with Master Lee and noted, "This is the first time in history that a highly-acclaimed artist and an automobile manufacturer have come together to create true rolling art. We will work together to produce a total of 25 Vicci 6.2 Emperor automobiles, each with its unique Lee Sun-Don masterpiece in the Great Treasure series."
The Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.) is an international art fair based in the Taipei World Trade Center. To return art to its essential character and to let the artist stand directly before the world, A.R.T. 2014 will be based upon two themes: to place artists at the center stage and to design the entire fair as a colossal work of art. With 280 artists from 48 countries exhibiting a total of 2000 pieces of artwork, their participation brings multicultural flare to shine throughout the art fair and shed light on contemporary art, creating a marvelous art feast. To support the art fair theme of "Impressionist-Contemporary", many artists will express the aura of impressionism using contemporary concepts, or interpret their impressions of the contemporary in virtue of impressionism.
