Online, April 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Los Angeles, Calif. - On Tuesday, April 27th (TONIGHT), Spike TV will debut a new reality pilot, Crash Test: Real Wrecks, Real Stakes. In Crash Test, Hollywood stunt expert Jack Gill leads an elite team of stuntmen, scientists, and investigators as they recreate full scale accidents to prove who is guilty or innocent.
Crash Test uses real stunt professionals who put their lives in danger to recreate the accidents in question. The show features three sub-plots, and questions the following situations:
* Can an SUV fly over one hundred feet through the air and into a home?
* Can a man survive being thrown by a tornado over one thousand feet from his trailer?
* Can a water slide ride end with a nearly fatal bone-crushing impact?
The wrecks in Crash Test are 100% real -- They are full scale to show what really happened in actual accidents. The stuntmen are from Stunts Unlimited, an elite, invite-only group of Hollywood stunt professionals.
Crash Test was created and directed by Tim Prokop, director of the first season of the wildly popular reality show Deadliest Warrior. It is also produced by Reveille Studios (The Tudors, The Office) and Executive Producer Mark Koops (The Biggest Loser), putting the show in highly-regarded hands.
