Dark Comedy "Neal" Debuts at SXSW Film Festival, To Be Screened at Dallas International Film Festival
Online, March 30, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Geoff McGee's dark comedy "Neal" recently premiered at the prestigious 2011 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas to much acclaim. The film is continuing its run at national film festivals by premiering for a screening at the Dallas International Film Festival in April. Shot primarily underwater, cinematographers used a Canon 5D camera to film the movie, providing a unique viewing experience to audiences.
"Neal" is a twisted, dark comedy about a Polaris brand swimming pool cleaner and vacuum named Neal. He goes haywire on an unsuspecting young couple named Heather and Guy with darkly humorous results. The accomplished actors Ryan Harper Gray, Teresa Valenza and Jaden Roberts appear on screen to round out the outstanding cast for the film. In the film, the aforementioned young couple is relaxing and simply enjoying a romantic late night swim while on vacation in the pool. The pair is celebrating their anniversary in this dark and funny film.

"Neal" is directed by Geoff McGee, known for his work on the film "Beautiful Exposure." Cinematography was led by Clay Liford, prominent filmmaker who worked on "My Moms Smokes Weed," "Earthling," and "Wuss." Film composer Jordan Aveline Blair provided the dramatic score for the film. SpiderCircle Films is the Production Company on the film, which was produced by Moondancer Entertainment and Zero Transfat Productions. The music production company for the film is Rewind Publishing Group.
"Neal" is set to debut at the Dallas International Film Festival on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Midnight at the Magnolia Theatre in Dallas, Texas. The film will also be screened on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:30 PM at the Angelika Film Center in Plano, Texas.
