Counter Terror Expo 2013 - Advent IM Director To Address Delegates on Cyber Threat

Mike Gillespie, Director of Security Consultancy Advent IM and recent appointee to The Security Insititute Board, is to address Counter Terror Expo delegates on the cyber threat to the built environment this year.

Counter Terror Expo 2013 has a comprehensive schedule of events and conferences. One of those is The Cyber and Electronic Terrorism Conference. Mike Gillespie, who was recently elected to the Security Insititute's Board of Directors, will be delivering a presentation entitled, The Cyber Threat To The Built Estate. This presentation will look at the growing physical threat to our buildings and the critical infrastructure of our nation, from the cyber world. Borders and geography fade in importance as a cyber attack on a building's systems, such as heating, air conditioning or door entry, can come from literally anywhere. Are our security systems actually secure?

This will be on 24th April at 9.30am at Olympia, London and details of the presentation can be found on the CTX website. http://www.counterterrorexpo.com/

Advent IM will also be at the Infosec Europe Security event at Earls Court on stand K84 on the 23rd April. This is the Malvern Cyber Security Cluster stand, of which Advent IM are members. The event runs from 23rd to 25th April 2013.
