Capgemini Joins Hands With PSD to Drupal ECommerce Provider
Capgemini, a French systems integrator has inked a deal with PSD to Drupal eCommerce providing company, Commerce Guys to allow its enterprise customers to access some of the popular and influential online stores.
Online, July 18, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The French Systems Integrator, Capgemini has recently announced to enter into a partnership with Drupal eCommerce service providing firm, Commerce Guys. Apart from this, the alliance will focus on enabling all large, small and medium business customers to access powerful web stores. The partnership will aim at boosting the Drupal's eCommerce support. Reports say that the deal between the two organizations will be an instance of highlighting the importance of adoption of Drupal Commerce for enterprise's e-businesses.
Denis Lafont-Trevisan, a representative of Capgemini France, said that since its inception in the year 2011 in the month of August, Drupal commerce has grown by leaps and bounds. Currently it powers more than fifteen thousand web stores. The platform has provided support to Capgemini throughout these years and the company will retain the support of the platform in the nearing future as well.
The partnership would surely go down well with the Developers and enthusiasts across the world who handle PSD to HTML and PSD to Drupal conversions.
According to the recent agreement signed by both the companies, Capgemini and Commerce Guys will appoint fifty engineers to work on the platform, out of which 70% will consist of technical consultants, who will primarily work on the overall enhancement of the Drupal Commerce platform by modifying its structures and delivery, while the remaining 30 % will be deployed to create functional profiles of the customers. The agreement also underlines the percentage of hiring by each company stating that, Capgemini France will consist of 80% of new employees, while Commerce Guys will do away with the remaining 20%.
Report says that the agreement has left ample scope for the expansion of the platform as it is growing in its global reach. Frederic Plais, the Co-founder and CEO of Commerce Guys, stated that the alliance would not only prove beneficial for both the companies, but is also conducive of enterprise development and the growth of Drupal Commerce.
