Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake "Legal Bowl" on Friday, August 8 at USA Bowl in Dallas

Online, June 18, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Big Brothers Big Sisters is appealing to the legal community of Dallas to participate in Bowl for Kids' Sake, the mentoring organization's biggest annual fundraiser. The bowl-a-thon will be held on Friday, August 8th at 6:30 p.m. at the USA Bowl in Dallas. The event is open to area law firms, the Dallas District Attorney's office, or legal support entities.
"Bowl for Kids' Sake can bring a whole professional community together in support of a positive future for our kids," says Dani Bethune, Big Brothers Big Sisters' Regional Executive Director. "No matter how someone chooses to be involved—bowler, team captain, sponsor, or even a virtual bowler—each person has a hand in helping to start a child on the right path. "
Teams of five or six will compete against their colleagues in Dallas County's legal industry - as bowlers and as fundraisers. Each team will receive two free games of bowling, as well as food and drinks, t-shirts and several chances to win prizes. Awards will be given for top fundraisers and event theme participation. This year's event is 90's themed. Teams are encouraged to wear their favorite fashions from that decade.
Funds raised at this event will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters to carefully make more mentoring matches and provide ongoing assistance for mentors, mentees and families to help build and sustain long lasting relationships. By pledging to raise a minimum of $125, you can help Big Brothers Big Sisters reach its goal to raise $15,000 through Bowl For Kids' Sake to help more than 100 children within Dallas County.
