Award Winning Graphic Designer and Small Business Owner Speaks at the 4th Annual Not For Profit Educational Leadership Summit

Karen Spencer, President and Creative Director of Karen Spencer Design, Shares Leadership Strategies and Business Best Practices

Karen Spencer, President and Creative Director at Karen Spencer Design, Inc., a creative services agency in Armonk, New York, recently spoke at the 4th annual Not For Profit Educational Leadership Summit titled Utilizing Corporate Strategies: Charting the Course to the Future. The Summit was held on October 14, 2010 at the Westchester Marriott Hotel, Tarrytown, New York.

The Summit, sponsored by Entergy, the Hospitality Resource Group, Inc., the Chubb Corporation, Maier Markey & Justic, LLP, and The Rollins Agency, Inc., brought leaders together from the not-for-profit and corporate sectors to share best practices and corporate driven solutions that grow agency visibility, strengthen economic engines and enhance program delivery strategies.

"It was an honor to speak at this year's Educational Leadership Summit," said Spencer. "The team at Karen Spencer Design has worked with many organizations in the not-for-profit sector. I have experienced first hand the challenges they face, from both a business management and marketing standpoint. My topic, Successful Fundraising in an Uncertain Economy was a challenge because I really wanted to give my audience something of substance to take away with them. However since a number of our not-for-profit clients have been able to consistently exceed their fundraising goals, even during the past two and half years, I was able to draw on the strategies we have developed for them and deliver some marketing key suggestions. It was a pleasure to share the strategies and practices that been successful for these not-for-profits."
