The program, led by Dr. Marc Halpern will be offered on Oct 1-5, 2012 in Nevada City, California. Marma points are 107 energetic body points that allow access to the body, mind and consciousness.

Ayurveda is considered to be the medicinal side to Yoga. It literally means "the knowledge of life". Ayurvedic medicine teaches us how to live harmoniously with our environment and our bodies. Like Yoga, Ayurveda is a holistic science that promotes well-being at the level of the body, mind and spirit. It teaches us that disease is the end result of the lack of harmony in our daily lives. Through a variety of natural techniques, including herbal medicines, panchakarma , and lifestyle counseling, balance and health is restored sustainably.

During the five-day, forty hour program, students will review the 107 marma point locations and review the basic marma techniques and then go deeper into working with prana. Students will work with energy and practice additional protocols for managing the flow of prana into the female reproductive system, liver /spleen, heart and other systems of the body.

The advanced program is open to students who have completed the Ayurvedic Foundations and introduction to clinical marma therapy.
