For Aditi Sharma, joining Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore has been a natural step in an already exciting career. Now in her second year, she has chosen a double specialisation in HR and Finance, with an eye to joining the HR department of a renowned company after graduation. Her time at Jaipuria Indore has allowed her to develop and expand her already established love for HR, but in order to achieve greater heights she has also added Finance as her major Subject.

Aditi has a Diploma in Aviation, Hospitality and Tourism from the Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess training. The course helped to hone her skills in the art of client servicing and also gave her exhaustive training in developing communication skills, customer service, safety drills and personality development. Soon after, she was placed with Guest Service Assistance at the Taj Banjara, Hyderabad. Aditi left that position to pursue a Bachelors degree in Tourism from IGNOU while she worked at Divine Ventures, a travel agency partnered with makemytrip.com.

Aditi's decision to join Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore was based on its reputation as a leading business school in India and its excellent faculty; she knew this is where she had to go to build on her experience. She has enjoyed being on campus, which she feels is "alive with activities and the hustle-bustle of an academic curriculum". Aditi really enjoys the extra curricular activities on offer, ranging from sports to cultural, and is actively involved with National Entrepreneurship Network and with operating an evening school in Dakachaya village. Student-driven events like the Business Olympiad, Budget Seminar, Encore, Milan and other events have allowed her to polish her organisational skills, connect with people and have also provided a platform for career opportunities.

But it is her classroom learning that has really inspired Aditi. In particular, she feels that the classes of Professor Dheeraj Mishra and Professor Priti Bakshi have encouraged her to take up finance along with HR. Added to her classes, her internship placement at JUSCO Ltd. in Jamshedpur has helped her develop a deeper understanding of HR deliverables. One of her teachers, Professor Kanak, even visited her during her internship, impressing both Aditi and JUSCO with the seriousness and support given to her by Jaipuria Indore .

Aditi's experience at Jaipuria Indore has not just been impactful because of the new subjects she has explored, or the inspiring faculty she has met. The teaching methodology has made her understand real life scenarios and her capabilities within those contexts. With regular mock interviews, GD sessions, aptitude tests, extempore debates and quizzes, Aditi feels very prepared to face the eventual job hunt. At the same time, being at Jaipuria Indore has exposed her to E-learning, and through YEMP Chisel, she has had the opportunity to interact with key players in industry.

Now, with a renewed sense of confidence instilled in her by a forward-looking institute and on-ground work experience, Aditi is eager to graduate with her double specialisation and join the world of working professionals again. But even as she does, there is no doubt that she is going to miss her time at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore!
