This Melbourne-based crowd-funded science fiction thriller is actually kind of funny

Melbourne , Victoria - Science fiction had basically been a dead genre at one point. Then YA came along and revived it as a monstrosity of sort that is unrecognizable. The sub-genres of science fiction then spawned as a byproduct of the aforementioned revival is sci-fi thriller and dystopia fiction. Though it is arguable that dystopia fiction had been around for a long while. But since the 21st century, the reception for this genre somewhat exploded. Bringing us the hunger game, divergent, and such. A brilliant combination of sci-fi thriller and dystopia fiction would be the matrix. So this brings a comedic science fiction thriller written by Australian author Yicheng Liu to the table.

This book isn't just any science fiction thriller novel. It is a funny one filled with jokes and one liners that the average reader can quote during parties and tells the world that aliens and advanced technology doesn't have to be clichéd plot devices that don't actually affect the plot all that much. Science fiction thrillers can be better, funnier, and more importantly, more interesting. So throw on that tin-foil conspiracy hat and ignore the weird man in the black suit holding a ray gun. Go an check out this nutty alien conspiracy themed sci-fi thriller where the main character finally isn't a stereotypical Hollywood action hero. When aliens had secretly been the guys stuck with administrative duties and pretending to be the government in public. The actual government is sitting around not doing anything except being bored. So when a bunch of guys(*sign...someone is going to say sexism. Aren't they?) found out the truth, they decided to go on a pointless mission to take down the aliens that are pretending to be governments and force the government to stop being so lazy and actually do something other than debating. Will they do it? Will they achieve the impossible? No. Seriously, two of them are college dropouts and at least one of them are probably not right in the head. Uh, details! The world needs to be "saved"! Follow them on this humorous journey of misadventure where there will inaccurate descriptions of guns and possible nudity. *warning! Not for the kind of people that faints from laughing!*

Now, who want to leave behind some money and read an interesting book that will keep reader on the edges of their seat, laughing and in suspense. Do you want to find out what happens next? Will the idiots get a happy ending? Are people making all this up?
