SEMGeeks Announces Summer 2015 Jersey Shore Beach Badge Giveaway

SEMGeeks, a full service digital marketing and web development agency based in Belmar, NJ returns for the 2015 season with a beach badge giveaway to promote the Jersey Shore's beautiful beaches. This year, SEMGeeks is proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties for this initiative.

How did you fare this brutal winter? Thankfully, another summer season is upon us! Time to start dreaming of warm lazy days on the beach!

Last year, SEMGeeks, a full service digital marketing and web development agency located in Belmar, ran a special promotion, giving away $1,000 worth of New Jersey beach badges to celebrate the start of summer 2014 and help those still recovering from damages suffered during Hurricane Sandy. The giveaway was a great success, drawing in over 2,000 contestants!

"It's our goal as a responsible member of the community to align partnerships with great organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. We couldn't have found a better partner for this year's beach badge giveaway."

Chris Delany, SEMGeeks Founder

This year, SEMGeeks wants to continue spreading summer cheer with the help of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been a vital part of the community, helping change the lives of children for over a century. This organization is a wonderful support system for kids and gives them an opportunity to reach their full potential. “We all had a mentor and know how important a caring role model is for children to be successful in school and in life,” said William Salcedo, BBBSMMC’s Executive Director.  “Our agency depends on the local community to help spread the word about our programs and the need for more people to step up and become volunteer Big Brothers or Sisters. We have 42 children on the waiting list, mostly boys, who need a mentor to help make a difference in their life.”  For more info visit www.bbbsmmc.org.

Chris Delany, SEMGeeks founder, says, “The Jersey Shore has always been built on its adolescents. Nonprofits don’t always have the means to promote awareness for their cause. It’s our goal as a responsible member of the community to align partnerships with great organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. We couldn’t have found a better partner for this year’s beach badge giveaway.”

The Jersey Shore Beach Badge Giveaway, which starts on April 27, runs until May 22 with three winners being announced every Wednesday. To enter the sweepstakes, all you have to do is “Like” the SEMGeeks Facebook page and then fill out an entry form to be eligible to win a free beach badge.

The cost of a seasonal beach badge at some of Monmouth and Ocean Counties’ most popular beaches has increased since last summer. According to SEMGeeks’ research, Belmar increased their price from $50 to $55 for a seasonal badge, Manasquan increased from $70 to $80, Deal increased from $125 to $150, while Seven President’s Beach in Long Branch increased their daily price from $7 to $8.

Ocean County saw the most increases in seasonal badge prices:

  • Bay Head increased from $70 to $80

  • Ocean City increased from $20 to $25

  • Pt. Pleasant (Maryland Ave. & Bradshaw’s) increased from $90 to $100

  • Toms River increased from $35 to $50

  • Lavallette and Surf City increased their daily badge prices by $1

Deal borough boasts the highest priced seasonal badge in Monmouth County at $150 while Martell’s and Maryland Ave./Bradshaw’s (owned by Aqua Serve) in Point Pleasant are the most expensive for Ocean County at $100. This handy infographic prepared by SEMGeeks outlines the prices for this summer’s seasonal and daily beach badges.

Winners are announced by email every Wednesday, and all winners will receive their free beach badge two to four weeks after the sweepstakes ends, arriving just in time to enjoy a full summer on the beautiful NJ beaches. SEMGeeks will also be donating badges to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties to be given to their volunteer mentors and respective Littles.
