The Prospect Solutions team is beginning some interpersonal development activities that director of operations, Mike, explained will boost trust and cohesion within the group.

According to Mike, teamwork and collaboration are essential to the success of the company. He indicated that when his marketing specialists work well together, they produce superior results for the brands they represent. This in turn means high profitability for Prospect Solutions as well.

 Mike shared suggestions regarding some of the most popular, and most effective, team building activities he has used at Prospect Solutions. While many of them are classic activities, they are tried and true and deliver impressive results.

“Many of these will be familiar to anyone who has participated in an ice-breaking or team building session,” he stated. “They are popular for a reason – they really work.”

One of his favorites is the two truths and a lie exercise. This activity requires each participant share two true facts and one lie about himself or herself. It is the job of the other members to figure out which piece of information is the lie. Mike explained that it is both a fun game and a great way to learn more about each other.

“Another favorite involves replicating Lego sculptures,” he continued. “I build a model out of Legos and have groups work together to replicate it. Only one member of each team can come up to a look at the sculpture at a time and they can’t take photos, make notes, or otherwise record it. It’s a great way to work on communication and group strategy.”

Of course, not all of Prospect Solutions’ activities are so targeted. A few are regular activities that lend themselves to team building. Mike indicated that he likes to take the group paint balling because they have to work together in order to win. “It involves strategy, communication, and creativity. It’s also a lot of fun. I think such activities are great for group bonding.”
