New Emergency Application Serves EMS Providers, 911 Operators & Consumers

Tech company develops emergency application to serve ambulance service providers, 911 operators and consumers. Long standing issues with ambulance service providers and 911 operators drives company to build what other tech companies could not. The result is ground breaking and has revolutionized emergency medical care at the scene.

In March of 2015 the National 911 Program and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that in 2014, in 27 states alone there were over 104 million emergency calls made from cell phones to 911 operators. Nationwide and on an annual basis, this equates to approximately 192 million emergencies being reported to 911 operators from cell phones.

The most well-known and long standing problem for 911 operators and ambulance service providers has been the absence of a platform that provides 911 operators and ambulance service providers the ability to read through an emergency caller’s medical profile during the caller’s emergency or while ambulance teams are in route. Because this information gap exists between 911 operators, ambulance service providers and the victims of emergencies, ambulance teams almost always arrive to the scene of emergencies without any helpful or even relevant information about the emergency victim’s medical profile. This has led to countless problems in every county, city and state across the U.S.

Now there's a solution and it's called the "iSystem". Developed by Emergency iSystems LLC, the “iSystem” is a Patent Pending emergency application now available to ambulance service providers and 911 operators in all 50 states at no cost. In real-time the iSystem bridges the gap between ambulance teams, 911 operators and callers involved in emergencies. When asked about the iSystem, Alison Huff-Rinaberger (MD) at the SIU School of Medicine said “There is no other product or service that functions like that of the Patent Pending iSystem” and “It’s valuable to each person during a medical emergency”. 8 year critical care and emergency nurse (RN) Maggie Yeager of the Florida Medical Center ER Department stated “As a critical care and emergency nurse, I can tell you the iSystem is a ground breaking must have". 10 Year Emergency Medical Technician Jason Smith with Lehighton Ambulance Association said “I think the iSystem should be used by EMS providers everywhere.”

For the average ambulance team in route to an emergency, the iSystem provides the emergency caller’s medical profile to the ambulance team so that while in route, the Paramedics and EMT’s can actually read through and utilize the caller’s medical profile to prepare for the caller’s emergency before actually arriving to the scene. As a result of leveraging the iSystem, ambulance teams will no longer be forced to arrive to the scene of emergencies uninformed. Going forward, public and private ambulance service provider across the U.S. can arrive very well informed of the caller’s complete medical profile whereas without the iSystem, ambulance teams will continue to arrive to the scene of emergencies with little to no relevant or even helpful information pertaining to the caller’s medical profile.

For the average consumer, the iSystem is an emergency application that functions as the consumer’s premeditated plan of action for handling emergencies compared to relying on 911 alone. It’s the first and only available emergency application for cell phones to simultaneously connect callers to 911 operators, share the caller’s GPS location with the nearest EMS teams, share the caller’s medical profile with the nearest EMS teams, and to distribute an emergency text and email message to the caller’s emergency contact persons in real-time.

When asked about how the company plans to provide ambulance service providers with access to the iSystem, company President and CEO Grant Webb stated “We developed the iSystem with the intent to give both public and private companies access to utilize the iSystem at no cost. Our goal is to save lives and improve emergency medical care at the scene and in an effort to do so, we’re giving well known EMS providers American Medical Response (AMR), Sunstar Paramedics, Medfleet, Americare, and Transcare access to utilize the iSystem at no cost as they operate in the vast majority of the U.S. We feel this to be the best way to begin affecting positive change in emergency medical care at the scene.”
