Edwards Crossroads LLC Website Launch

Edwards Crossroads LLC will launch www.edwardscrossroads.com, a website devoted to handcrafted cutting and serving boards on 8/25/2015.

Every chef should have kitchen tools that are not only functional, but also enhance the presentation of the food they are serving.  Edwards Crossroads believes that our natural wood cutting and serving boards do just that.  Each board is created with patience, detail, and love.

Years ago, 1835 to be exact, Henderson Edwards built his home far out in the country of eastern North Carolina.  The “homestead,” as we call it, was built at the intersection of two roads and from there Edwards Crossroads began.  The Edwards family that initially traveled across “the big water” (Atlantic Ocean in country talk) in 1620 included many woodworkers.  Some were very skilled and were actually able to support their families with their craft.

Aaron grew up around the Edwards’ family woodworkers.  Two of his biggest influencers were long-time residents of Edwards Crossroads, Melvin and Alvin Edwards.  Aaron first used his talent by making pinewood racecars for his church group of Royal Ambassadors, then moved on to making toy houses out of scrap wood, and eventually furniture.  He has always had a strong desire to work with wood and is now working to support his own family as his ancestors before him.

With Aaron’s passion of grilling and smoking meats, he noticed a lack of high quality cutting and serving boards that were both practical and attractive.  With the knowledge and skill that he developed throughout the years, he has created boards that are as functional as they are beautiful.  Not only are the boards handmade and individually unique, but each one is created with care and attention to detail.

With the help of his wife, Beth, and their 2 boys (with one more on the way!), Edwards Crossroads was born.
