Stating in 1998 just after she became a Texas Real Estate Commission Licensed Agent in 1997, Cannon worked in this position for five years in the Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas area. It was here that she established her career, set high standards for herself, and devoted herself to a strong work ethic to achieve high marks. Christie Cannon was awarded for closing big development deals during her five year tenure in this position.

It was not until 2003 that Christie Cannon joined the ranks of Kelly Williams Realty.  Working as an individual agent, Cannon quickly rose through the ranks by using the same hard working ethic that she built in her previous job. She was able to achieve recognition in this new position, and Keller Williams rewarded Christie Cannon with the Rookie of the Year Award in 2004 and 2005.
