Independent Electrical Contractors - Rocky Mountain (www.IECRM.org), Colorado's leading association dedicated to advancing the energy and electrical workforce, was recently awarded an a donation of electrical equipment from the Eaton Corporation valued at more than $42,000. The donation was made possible through the IEC Foundation (IECF), the charitable arm of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) trade association, and will be used in instructing aspiring electricians.

"These generous donations will allow IECRM to continue providing quality education to our students which in turn helps keep our member companies more competitive in the marketplace" commented Executive Director, Spenser Villwock. "The equipment will be used to fortify and expand our labs which are essential for balancing classroom training with supervised practice on-site rather than on the job."

IECRM provides training in Denver and northern Colorado as well as online. Villwock says the well-equipped labs make IECRM's training more attractive compared to other training options in the state.

The mission of the IEC Foundation is to create educational opportunities introducing and guiding youth, men and women to successful and satisfying careers in the electrical and communications industries. Through IECF funding, new apprentices are given the opportunity to train to become electricians and technicians.
