Benefit Concert On Earth Day In NYC To Fight Poverty

Online, April 11, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Rock against Poverty's Earth Day 2011 event is said to be one of the most anticipated concerts this spring in NYC. Organized by Cila Management and brought to you by RaP, monies raised will go to The Vihara Foundation to help fight world poverty.

The concert will feature a wide range of artists performing live at Tompkins Square Park. Featured acts include Grammy nominated Trey Lorenz, American Idol Season four finalist Anwar Robinson, as well as The Trapps, Bobby Syvarth, Ultralust, Dirty Rotten Liars, The New York Blues Project, and many others. The event will take place at Tompkins Square Park in New York, New York on April 22nd 2011 at 2pm. This will be an outdoors event. Donations from the concert will benefit The Vihara Project (formerly The Bihar Project) a comprehensive and sustainable approach to promoting rural community sustainable development and poverty alleviation in rural Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh where a quarter of the world's impoverished people live.
