The Burlingame ArtzFest, formerly the Burlingame Art and Jazz Festival, is announcing an all new look for 2010, featuring a plethora of gifts, art, music, a wine pavillion and children's play area. And the best part is...it's free!
Online, June 9, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Burlingame, Calif., June 9, 2010)--- Local super stars will be light up the stage at the all new 2010 Burlingame ArtzFest, August 7 and 8 on Burlingame Avenue. Winners from the "Burlingame Idol" contest will showcase their vocal stylings, featuring such talents as Cassie Cuellar, Bernadette Abadilla, Sandi Shorago, and Kay Arnaudo will as well as 16 other finalists. The entertainment starts at the stage and contines throughout the festival, including an amateur children's choir, rhythmic belly dancing, children's games and rides, delicious food, jazz musicians and an array of artwork, sculpture, clothing, accessories, toys, specialty foods, home decor, gifts and more.
The rising stars that will be showcased at the Burlingame ArtzFest include: the Burlingame Show Choir; 30 kindergarten to 5th grade elementary school children performing a 10 minute medley of "Grease"; Burlingame Bollywood presenting a dance medley of fusion dance style that fuses Indian classical dance with folk, Latin, jazz, and other world dance; Educational Theatre Company (ETC)'s youth group "Etceteras" singing a variety of Broadway show tunes from former ETC productions; Group Therapy, a four person band with two acoustic guitars and 3 & 4 part vocal harmonies; and, Broadway by the Bay's middle and high school student show choir "Broadway Bound" performing a mash up of Broadway show tunes.
