It is that time of the year again when the clock starts ticking the ultimate countdown leading to Kurukshetra- Battle of the Brains.This year it is scheduled to happen from January 20th to 23rd, 2010. This trademark techfest of the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai is back again with a whole range of signature events and a host of new and never before ones.
GodSpeed-Kurukshetra's most awaited RC car racing event is back this year with a few surprises in store. RC car enthusiasts are bound to have the time of their lives. Robotics, a Kurukshetra regular can't get bigger in its four avatars- manual, designer's quest, autonomous, image processing.
In the manual event, emphasis is laid on task completion while its polar opposite Designer's Quest, which truly is a quest in every sense, derives its essence from the fact that aesthetics, innovation and method of manufacturing are as important as the utility factor. The bots are expected to perform at least two kinds of locomotion of air, water and terrestrial. Also in store is an autonomous event where the arena will be a clock. The task is to display the time. Finally there is an image processing contest too.
Kurukshetra is always about bringing out the best managers in engineers. That said, this year's edition will see a Business Plan competition. Abstracts for ideas of startup are invited. This must include a clear market analysis, viability, profitability and scalability of the proposed venture.
Kurukshetra 2010 will witness a truly one of a kind event with a conclave planned. This will see the synergy of engineering and innovation.
