YAD Condemns Drug Abuse in the Society

Punjab,India., July 14, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Narcotics, drugs or drug addiction is not just restricted to Punjab but the entire world as whole. In recent past, it is been noticed that every compeer politician targets Punjab as the land of drug abuse. But the true side of the story is that the Punjab Government stands tall against the use of drugs and with its untiring efforts no fresh case of drug abuse has came forward in Punjab. 

The drug addiction is a global menace expanded across the different parts of the world. We people must unite to uproot the spread of drug addiction. Shiromani Akali Dal headed by Sr. Prakash Singh Badal took massive steps to eliminate the problem from the state. At an event, he quoted that some alien forces are trying to dampen the image of the party while tagging the hard working Punjabis as severe drug addicts. He further added that necessary measures are taken to control and eradicate the drug addiction problem.Being Punjab is on the transit route of drugs, it is fighting the national war for which it was being defamed. The Government has rolled up the sleeves to nab down every drug peddler belonging to its supply chain. 

Enumerating the initiatives taken by the Punjab Government, the Punjab State Board of De-Addiction and Rehabilitation centres has been formed to eliminate the evil of drugs from the state. Youth Akali Dal under the leadership of Bikram Singh Majithia, set up the network of drug de-addiction centers to detoxify the drug addicts and impart skill training so as they lead their life with cheer, respect and pride.
