WinBib™ - New Cycling Garment Launches on New England Inventor's Road Trip to Interbike in Vegas

The road trip is a classic way to see the country, meet people, and generate interest in a product. WinBib™ inventor Dan Hurwitz is driving to Las Vegas as he launches his new invention. The WinBib is a new type of cycling garment that adds windproof warmth only to a rider's chest, unlike jackets or wind shirts that have backs and sleeves and can be too warm for many cycling conditions.

The Road Trip

The road trip is a classic way to see the country, meet people, and generate interest in a product.  WinBib™ inventor Dan Hurwitz is adding this time-tested trek to his on-line and social media efforts, as he launches his new invention.

Dan is driving from Massachusetts to Las Vegas for Interbike, the cycling industry's premier trade show, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Sept 16 through 18.  Along the way, he's meeting with college cycling clubs, shop owners, and others, to educate and demonstrate his innovative WinBib garment, just in time for the fall cycling season.

Dan is also exhibiting in vendor expos at two major bike races along the way:  the Gateway Cup in St. Louis over Labor Day weekend, and the USA Cycling Masters National Road Championships in Ogden, UT, the following weekend.

Follow Dan's Interbike Road Trip on Twitter at #ibrt2015 and on WinBib's Facebook page.  Interbike attendees should visit him at Booth #9027.

The WinBib™

A WinBib is a new type of cycling garment that adds windproof warmth only to a rider's chest, unlike jackets or wind shirts that have backs and sleeves which can be too warm in many cycling conditions.  Also, since it is generally worn underneath a jersey, it is totally aero.

While riding his bike on a sunny fall day, Dan was heading home late in the afternoon as temperatures fell from the low 70's into the mid 60's.  Wearing a short-sleeve jersey over a tee shirt, and freezing, he had only a handkerchief in his saddle bag to add warmth. So he tucked that between the jersey and the tee shirt, but the thin cotton handkerchief made no difference.

Then inspiration hit!  If the handkerchief were wind-proof, it would make a huge difference.  The temperature was not the problem, it was the headwind!  The idea for the WinBib™ was born!
