Al is a significant addition to Wakely’s roster of nationally recognized healthcare experts who are helping clients successfully negotiate the changes and challenges associated with healthcare reform.
Al Bingham was most recently the Director of the Office of Special Initiatives and Pricing in the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He served as the senior actuarial advisor and Chief Commercial Actuary for CMS on various commercial insurance and ACA initiatives, including risk adjustment, health policy, insurance programs and insurance oversight activities. He formerly was Executive Director – Actuarial Services, East Regions for Kaiser Permanente (KP), responsible for all actuarial services for the KP eastern regions. Prior to Kaiser Permanente, he served in several senior actuarial consulting roles. His consulting experience includes actuarial and strategic work with health plans, health care providers, and large employers.
