Utah Academy for Troubled Youth Unveils New Skate Park
Hurricane, UT, July 27, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Diamond Ranch Academy (DRA) is pleased to announce the unveiling of their newest addition to the campus. The new skate park has been named “Diamondback Skate Park” and consists of 200 yards of concrete, covering 225 by 70 feet of ground with fully landscaped surroundings and picnic tables for observers. The park also features 100 feet of rails, quarter pipes, stairs, a snake run, and other exciting attractions. School officials say that the decision to add the skate park to campus came from the students’ requests. Professional builders and contractors were brought in to create the park with assistance from DRA students.
Diamond Ranch Academy’s goal is to help students enjoy a normal, safe, and structured high school experience while eliminating the potential troubles some teens face while attending public schools. The Diamondback Skate Park is just one of the many ways the academy provides this safe, structured environment while also providing a fun place for students to learn and grow as any other high school student would.
