Universal Grip Co. Signs Exclusive Partnership With Galdabini - Manufacturer of Material Testing Systems

The Universal Grip Company (UGC) announced today that it will begin offering a complete line of Universal Testing Machines to US-based customers from Italian manufacturer Galdabini SpA. The exclusive manufacturing and supply agreement will encompass compression and tensile testing machines as well as impact testers used for quality control and materials research and development.

Galdabini, established in 1890 near Milan, has been developing and manufacturing materials testing machines for close to 100 years. The market size for materials testing systems is estimated to be over $200M domestically and over $600M worldwide, growing at a CAGR of 3.1%.  The Cesare Galdabini​company has a strong presence in Europe, especially amongst the aerospace, automotive, plastics, and textiles industries.

With the ongoing re-pricing of the Euro, Universal Grip will be able to offer great value to US-based customers. The manufacturing and supply agreement encompasses all states within the Eastern and Central time zones. After a successful inception year in 2015, Universal Grip has brought on a direct sales force which will be able to make on-site sales and support visits to prospective customers.

The full line of electro-mechanical Universal Testing Machines includes both table top and floorstanding​ models ranging from 0 to 2,000kN. Each system is configured according to individual customer needs and includes the powerful and intuitive Graphworks 6 software for control and data analysis. Universal Grip also offers accessories for performing specific ASTM and ISO test procedures. These accessories include adapters, extensometers, fixtures, environmental chambers, load cells, and sample preparation tools. Along with tensile testers, UGC will also carry Impact Testing Machines for performing Charpy and Izod procedures up to 750 Joules.
