The Gaming Stadium's First Online Hockey Challenge, Featuring Tyler Seguin, Thomas Chabot, Pierre Luc-Dubois, and Jake Virtanen, Gives Fans a Chance to Play Against a Pro Hockey Player - for Free

The entire tournament will be played online, and all you need in order to participate is the NHL 20 game and a PlayStation 4.

Online Hockey Challenge

​​​The Gaming Stadium is excited to collaborate with four pro hockey players in order to put on their first Online Hockey Challenge. This NHL 20 tournament will give fans a chance to play against a pro hockey player! This free event will take place on Sunday, May 17, and starts at 11:00 a.m. PST.

The pro players involved in this event are Tyler Seguin (Dallas Stars), Thomas Chabot (Ottawa Senators), Pierre-Luc Dubois (Columbus Blue Jackets), and Jake Virtanen (Vancouver Canucks).

This one-day tournament will consist of two phases:

Phase One: Community Open
The first phase begins at 11:00 a.m. PST and is a single-elimination tournament open to anyone. The champion of this phase wins the opportunity to play against the winner of the Pro Challenge.

Phase Two: Pro Challenge
The second phase begins at 2:00 p.m. PST and consists of the four pro hockey players competing against each other in a single-elimination tournament. 

The tournament will be streamed live, beginning with the Pro Challenge tournament on The Gaming Stadium’s Twitch channel. The Pro Challenge will be casted by Arda Orcal and Andrew ‘Nasher’ Telfer. Arda is the voice of the NHL Gaming World Championships, while Nasher is a leading NHL content creator and broadcaster.

The Gaming Stadium will be partnering with Final Stage Entertainment and Brickhouse Ventures to present the Online Hockey Challenge. Final Stage will aid in the live and post-production of the event, while Brickhouse Ventures is providing managerial expertise.
