Texas Sports Hall of Fame Nominee Sid Brass

Sid Brass, former professional baseball player, holds many records in the Texas Panhandle

Former professional baseball player, Sid Brass has many all-around sports records in the Texas panhandle area, where he grew up, that still stand. Brass grew up in the very small town of McLean, Texas, as well as participated in sports and athletics in Groom, Texas. Brass states that he always appreciated and enjoyed his time in the community and athletics of Groom, where he competed with some outstanding athletes in the area with whom he still stays in touch. Additionally, Sid Brass set many state of Texas football & baseball independent records throughout his school years in the state of Texas. Mr. Brass was a standout, two-sport, All-American in football and baseball. Mr. Brass had a successful professional baseball career & was nominated to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. Mr. Brass went on to have a successful college baseball career, followed by his time playing at the professional level. Mr. Brass has stayed actively involved in the professional sports field by making guest appearances on sports radio talk shows, as well as attend numerous athletic events. Brass's interests are diverse, and he has spearheaded many different financial ventures since his baseball career. Mr. Brass's capital groups have participated in, and funded, numerous different hotel projects, as well as restaurants, shopping centers, and medical plazas, amongst others.
