Team G Tennis Hosts Tennis and Athletic Training Day for the Children of URM's Hope Gardens Family Center
Encino, CA, January 9, 2015 (Newswire.com) - What better way to start off the New Year than a fun day of tennis and athletic training to the deserving children of Hope Garden Family Center? On Thursday, over 30 children from URM’s Hope Gardens Family Center came to Balboa Sports Center for three hours of athletic training and introduction to tennis provided by Founder & Coach of Team G Tennis Gerald Mathews and the Team G Tennis coaching staff.
Alongside agility trainer, Therm Moore, the children were divided into groups for ladder drills, jump rope and other speed driven exerices needed to learn and enhance the game of tennis. The Team G Tennis coaching staff provided basic technical skills to introduce the game to children whom may have never been exposed to the sport.
Team G Tennis is happy to announce the day was a huge success! Children with noted learning disabilities and behavorial issues performed at 100% during these activities. Team G Tennis is honored to have been able to provide instruction and positive reinforcement to the the youth of HGFC and will continue to give the children of HGFC access to these services.
