Support Your Troups! Care Collection for the Military 9/11
Online, September 3, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Next Saturday, the Quiltbug.com Quilt Shop will be accepting donations for care packages to be sent to military personnel still serving overseas. Any personal care item can be accepted. A detailed list can be found here http://quiltbug.com/PDF/care-collection-list.pdf. Also needed are financial contributions to help defray shipping costs and letters of support to be included with the packages.
The shop is also accepting donations for items to be recycled. These will be recycled by http://www.accessrecycling.com/. The cash value of the donated items will be given directly to Operation Gratitude. (http://www.opgratitude.com/). Items include: used cell phones; inkjet cartridges; laptop computers (please include power cord with laptop if available); PDAs and Blackberry's (please send docking station if available) and Apple iPods.
In addition, the shop is accepting manufacturer's coupons for use at the PX. The coupons may be expired up to 6 months. They will be shipped to military families stationed in England, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Guam, South Korea, Japan and Guantanomo Bay Cuba.
Located just over the Schoharie Creek bridge at 169 Main St in Esperance, this quilt shop is packed with fabric, books, batting, patterns, notions, sewing supplies and other goodies beloved by quilters and crafters. If you've got the quiltbug, they've got the cure!
