SUCCESS Foundation Distributes One Million Copies of SUCCESS for TEENS in its First Year

Youth empowerment program inspires teens to stay in school and pursue their dreams

(DALLAS) May 4, 2010 - The SUCCESS Foundation, a non-profit organization providing the country's youth with inspirational and personal development resources designed to help them reach new levels of achievement, celebrates its first year with the successful distribution of more than one million copies of its SUCCESS FOR TEENS™ program at no charge to youth across the United States.

"We are excited about this significant milestone in our organization and are committed to distributing 10 million copies of the books and CDs to the youth around the country," said Executive Director John Fleming. "SUCCESS FOR TEENS focuses on basic principles and values that impact the day-to-day decisions in a teenager's life, helping them understand the consequences of their decisions - and is doing just that."

The SUCCESS for Teens program comprises of a book for teens, facilitator's guide and abridged audio CD. Over the last year, the SUCCESS Foundation has distributed free copies of SUCCESS FOR TEENS to young people ages 12 through 17 to help them embrace eight principals that will allow them to shape their futures. SUCCESS' partners include schools, churches and other youth-devoted non-profit organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Boys and Girls Clubs of America and scouting programs across the nation.

Written in language easy for teens to relate to and understand, SUCCESS FOR TEENS demonstrates the importance of clarifying goals, practicing the small efforts necessary for success and accepting responsibility for one's own destiny. By helping teens enhance skills such as goal setting, dream building, self motivation and time management, the SUCCESS Foundation believes teens will be better equipped with life lessons and skills not otherwise taught in traditional classrooms.

"This program changed my life and got me going in the right direction," said Anthony, a program participant. "It doesn't matter where you come from. If you have dream, this program can help you get where you want to be." The high-school senior will be attending Iowa State University in the fall with a full scholarship.
