StorageSeeker's Self Storage Rent Index Remains Flat in May 2017

DOVER, Del., June 6, 2017 (Newswire.com) - StorageSeeker.com, the nation’s leading online self storage reservation network, is pleased to announce the results of its seventh month of tracking self storage rental rates throughout the United States. In May 2017, self storage rents effectively remained flat for the month, only increasing by 0.1% on average across the US. This increase follows a 0.6% storage unit price increase that the Self Storage Rent Index tracked in April 2017.

At the local level, there were some cities with larger rental rate changes during the same period, with rents both decreasing and increasing. Below are the Top 10 major cities that saw self storage price declines or increases across the US in May 2017.
