Stonewall Kitchen Expands Footprint With Northfield, Vermont Manufacturing Facility
First-Ever Vermont Location Will Produce Vermont Village Vinegars, Other Products
YORK, Maine, April 20, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Leading producer of specialty foods and home goods Stonewall Kitchen announces its operational expansion with the addition of its first-ever location in Vermont. The manufacturing facility, located in Northfield, was formerly operated by Village Cannery of Vermont, from whom Stonewall Kitchen purchased the Vermont Village brand in September 2019. Village Cannery continued to operate the facility during a transition period, but Stonewall Kitchen has now hired all of the workers there as Stonewall Kitchen employees and taken operational control of the facility. The facility will continue to manufacture and bottle Vermont Village apple cider vinegar products, as well as additional products for Stonewall Kitchen and its other leading brands.
“Expanding to Northfield is an exciting opportunity for us,” said John Stiker, CEO of Stonewall Kitchen. “We wanted to keep production of Vermont Village apple cider vinegars close to home and continue to honor the authentic New England heritage that attracted us to the brand from the start. By combining our top-quality manufacturing and new product development processes with the expertise of this experienced workforce, this new expansion will allow us to continue growing the Vermont Village and Stonewall Kitchen brands through the development of new and innovative products.”
Concluded Stiker, “In these challenging times, we’re always looking for ways to continue to self-produce top quality food and home good products Americans need, and increase employment opportunities throughout New England. Together with our recent acquisition of the Village Candle business in Wells, Maine, this operational expansion into Vermont further reinforces our commitment to manufacturing and employment in New England.”
The new location is located at:
141 North Main Street
Northfield, VT 05663
