SolRiver Capital Energizes Four Solar Projects in Georgia Despite 2022 Headwinds

Advanced construction oversight process delivers successful execution for SolRiver's clean energy investment platform

Leading clean energy investment firm SolRiver Capital announced today the completion of four solar projects in Georgia totaling 16 MW of clean energy capacity. SolRiver and its partners are particularly proud to see these projects energize, in light of the challenging headwinds in 2022 that they had to overcome. The projects were developed by SolAmerica and built by NARENCO.

SolRiver Capital's success in bringing these four projects to completion highlights the firm's ability to deliver clean energy to communities, even in challenging environments. "Over the years, our team refined an advanced process for managing construction from the owner's side. We utilize proprietary resource loading tools, collaborative technology, and a tight partnership with our contractors. This process was really tested in 2022 and we're proud the projects came out a success," said SolRiver Capital Partner Nick Gazzolo.

SolRiver is pleased these projects were completed on time despite facing labor shortages, tariffs on panels, import bans, and ever-expanding equipment delivery delays. "The entire solar industry faced headwinds in 2022. SolRiver fortunately made procurement and design decisions correctly anticipating the upcoming challenges," explained Brandon Conard, SolRiver's Managing Partner. "We also credit our EPC partner NARENCO for working collaboratively to knock down each problem as it came up."

The four projects will provide significant economic benefits to three counties across Georgia. The projects generated dozens of construction jobs. They provide substantial tax income for the local authorities. Further, each was installed in an environmentally sensitive manner which will assist nearby farms through enhanced pollinator activity.

"SolRiver views the completion of these projects as a testament to our commitment and abilities to execute. We know that certainty is important to our development, landowner, and offtake partners," Gazzolo said. "We're excited to continue bolstering the growth of our clean energy portfolio while expanding earlier stage relationships within the industry."
