Slalom and Workplace by Facebook Partner to Connect the World's Three Billion Workers

Slalom and Workplace by Facebook today announced their partnership to help the world’s three billion employed people connect, discover new ways of working, and turn ideas into action with Workplace.

Slalom is a purpose-driven consulting firm that helps companies solve business problems and build for the future. Workplace is a communications platform for work that makes organizations more connected and productive. As strategic partners, Slalom and Workplace envision a world where employees are deeply connected to their co-workers and colleagues across the extended enterprise.

“At Workplace, we believe that building connections between people at work help teams get more done and work better,” says Frerk-Malte Feller, Director Workplace Ecosystem Partnerships at Facebook. “Slalom understands the power of community at work. Their partnerships with leading cloud providers and deep expertise in strategy, organizational effectiveness, and analytics will help organizations take full advantage of the new ways of working empowered by Workplace.”

Slalom CEO and co-founder Brad Jackson was inspired by the ways Workplace has helped organizations around the world transform the way they communicate, organize, and get things done. “Slalom’s opportunity as one of Workplace’s first Service Partners will accelerate our aspiration to become one of the most connected and impactful companies in the world, known for helping leaders reach for and realize their vision.”

As a Workplace Service Partner, Slalom is creating new offerings to help organizations embed Workplace at the heart of their digital transformation journey. This includes fostering a culture of collaboration with Workplace; Workplace enterprise integrations, custom applications and bots; and Workplace productivity analytics.

Slalom began working with Workplace in its Silicon Valley market — just down the road from Facebook’s Menlo Park headquarters — and quickly grew to appreciate how it helped the office foster greater connection, collaboration, and innovation.

“Beyond our excitement about the platform, what really resonated with our team was the close parallels between Facebook’s culture and our own,” said Ben Rhodes, Slalom client partner to Facebook. “Both of our companies are focused on moving fast, fostering innovation, and driving connectivity.”

“Slalom has experienced incredible 30 percent year-over-year growth since it was founded in 2001,” says Tom Chew, Slalom cross-market general manager. “With 4,700 employees working across 25 markets globally, we view our Workplace partnership and services as differentiators as we help clients solve some of their most complex and interesting business challenges.”
