SaleSleeve Earns U.S. Patent for Weatherproof Document Holder

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awards VA company patent for all-weather document holder for displaying sales documents on motor vehicles

SaleSleeve attaches to inside or outside of vehicle to display vehicle information.

SaleSleeve, a weatherproof document display company, announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded SaleSleeve a patent for its ground-breaking document PVC technology. While applicable to a wide range of industries, the SaleSleeve technology is primarily used in the auto industry to protect Monroney labels and buyers guides on vehicle windows.

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the SaleSleeve patent is for a protective envelope that fully encloses a one- or two-page document and protects that document from weather damage, airflow from vehicle movement, and friction from lowering and raising a vehicle’s window.

Dealerships are discovering that the sleeve is a durable, inexpensive solution for displaying a vehicle's sales documents.

Benjamin Brown, SaleSleeve Managing Partner

“Having the Patent Office recognize SaleSleeve’s technology as first-of-its-kind validates our belief, and that of our customers, in the uniqueness and reliability of our product,” said SaleSleeve Managing Partner Benjamin Brown. “While the sleeve has only been on the market a few months, demand for the product is outstanding. Dealerships are discovering that the sleeve is a durable, inexpensive solution for displaying a vehicle’s sales documents.”

The SaleSleeve is an easy-to-install, inexpensive alternative for displaying Monroney labels and buyers guides on vehicles. The PVC packet goes on either the inside or outside of the vehicle, does not compromise window functionality and remains intact during test drives or transportation.

The newly patented product is the only document display envelope with an IPX water certification rating. The sleeve has been field-tested in all types of weather from hurricanes to temperatures ranging from -15F to 185F degrees.

“SaleSleeve has solved an industry-wide problem for displaying Monroney labels, addendums and buyers guide documents,” said aftermarket accessory installer Robert McGarr, WRL Premier Tinting of Dallas, Texas. “Other options are extremely pricey, don’t work or take too long to install. SaleSleeve is simply the best choice.”
