RSDI Announces Patent for Its Cutting-Edge LOCUS™ Rideshare ID System

Say Goodbye to Rideshare Security Problems

LOCUS Operation

Technology company RideShare Displays Inc. (RSDI) announced the granting of US Patent # 9,892,637 for its cutting-edge LOCUS™ rideshare identification system. The new technology elevates security, and adds never before features for all rideshare drivers and passengers. The system called LOCUS™, provides dual authentication of passenger and driver, ADA and DOJ mandate compliance, and includes key features not found in other solutions. LOCUS™ utilizes secure identifiers for each trip, incorporates GPS style voice guidance to direct passengers to the correct vehicle, provides autonomous vehicle identification, destination, pick-up point, civic message capabilities, as well as driver emergency and medical alert notifications.

“We are incredibly excited about the potential of LOCUS™ and finally putting an end to passengers getting into a wrong car, or getting duped by bogus or predatory drivers. Passengers will know the exact vehicle whereabouts, ending confusion and unfair cancellation/no-show fees. We also anticipate a potential line extension across the entire security-access field,” said RSDI’s CEO Steve Rose. “There is no doubt that LOCUS™ is a much-needed development over what is currently in use. We can’t wait to deploy LOCUS™ in as many rideshare vehicles as possible. The timing for LOCUS™ is now,” concluded Rose.

Just as taxis are equipped with a driver emergency alert system, ride-share drivers now can have the same level of safety. In addition, for those unexpected trips to a health care facility and/or provider, LOCUS displays a medical alert notification.

Resolving ADA and DOJ safety and security mandates, LOCUS™ provides the necessary accommodations for the hearing and visually impaired, the elderly, those without a smartphone, as well as international tourists struggling with the native language. LOCUS™ will assist in the reduction of industry-wide liability issues and exposure to litigation.
