Ronald E. Quirk, Jr., Head of the Internet of Things (IoT) Practice Group at Marashlian & Donahue, PLLC, The CommLaw Group, has joined The Expert Network©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Mr. Quirk has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout his career.

Mr. Quirk outshines others in his field due to his extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and career longevity. He received his B.A. in Communication from George Mason University in 1988 and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 1994. He also holds a certificate from the Institute for Communications Law Studies.

"One trend I have been paying attention to is how the way in which the FCC is going to be issuing wireless spectrum for communications is heading more and more towards unlicensed spectrum. Instead of having the licenses that allow various regulatory agencies to prevent interference based on frequencies, the equipment is going to have to filter out the interference and it's going to be interesting. We're heading towards unlicensed communications, wireless communications."

In addition to his work at Marashlian & Donahue, Mr. Quirk has published numerous articles and papers on various topical telecommunications issues, from FCC compliance and spectrum auctions to wireless telecommunications tax and bankruptcy.
